From RunikiThe Buckeye Trail is a 1435 mile trail that forms a winding circle around the state of Ohio. Originally conceived in the 1950s as a trail that would stretch from the Ohio River to Lake Erie it has since grown to circle much of the state. The trail stretches along many beautiful areas in the state and includes parts of some of the best parks and natural areas. While the route is touted most for hikers, runners can also find a place for a run along its expansive trails and parks. [edit] External Links
