The Houston Marathon, now looking forward to its 34th consequtive running, is held in early January in Houston, Texas. In 2005, the marathon alone included over 7,000 competitors, and including runners in the half marathon and 5k over 20,000 harriers took to the course that morning.

The course is extremely flat with only a few jitters apparent in the elevation map.
