From Runiki

NSAIDs are the most popular kind of drug used by runners. These include the non-prescription versions Advil & Motrin IB (ibuprofen) and Aleve (naproxen), as well as prescription drugs Naprosyn (naproxen). These can aid in injury recovery by reducing swelling and even as a preventative measure. Some runners take these each day before running, although NSAIDs can cause stomach problems and it's unclear whether taking these too often can be dangerous.

Acetaminophen (Tylenol & Excedrin) is not considered an NSAID because it lacks anti-inflammatory properties.
