From Runiki

Overtraining occurs when you train too hard without allowingn the body adequate time to rest and repair itself. Many runners just starting out will battle with this because initially it seems that the harder you run the better you get. Unfortunately, this is only true to a point and for optimal training benefits runners need to listen to their bodies. Overtraining is hard to spot, even for experienced runners, while in it, but it tends to be clear aftewards. Its symptoms include fatigue, restless sleep, weight fluctuations and injury.
