The University Athletic Association (UAA) is an athletic association consisting of the following eight schools:

• Brandeis University - (Judges)
• Carnegie Mellon University - (Tartans)
• Case Western Reserve University - (Spartans)
• Emory University - (Eagles)
• New York University - (Violets)
• University of Chicago - (Maroons)
• University of Rochester - (Yellowjackets)
• Washington University in St. Louis - (Bears)

The association was founded with the idea that athletics should complement academics and the best universities can excel at both.
